Give it a Twirl!

Oh, I’m in love! I don’t think my husband will be jealous though. It is with the My Minds Eye Quite Contrary {Mary Mary} line. I had ordered some MME Lush papers from DCRU and also the great 6×6 sampler pack Claudia has of Quite Contrary. Let me tell you, Quite Contrary is anything but contrary and overshadowed my Lush selections! (Not that I don’t think the Lush is lush…)

Anyway, I chose the lovely bright and cheery Grown Up pattern for my card and it fits perfectly. I used the patterned paper to paper piece the dress of the Dance the Night Away girl. When this set was previewed, I LOVED all of the options available through paper piecing. I love how this turned out.

I followed sketch #8 from OCC and DCRU’s recipe challenge of 1 stamped image, 2 die cuts, 3 buttons or jewels and ribbon. I paired up the MME with some pink Prism paper and Basic Black. Yummy pink & green double sided satin ribbon and some pink half pearls from Basic Grey complete the look. This came together so quickly & nicely.
