Happy Hump Day! Today was such a whirlwind — busy, busy, but also a very windy day. My son was actually walking with his hands in front of face to protect himself from the wind. My daughter’s class is tracking lamb & lion days — she said today was lamb, but I think it was borderline lion.
This week’s MOJO Monday sketch was for a long card and since I’ve been enjoying them so much lately, I wanted to play along.
I love the way this card turned out. There is a ton of texture here. I used one of the current freebies from Bugaboo — the Funny Bunny Egg Tower. I colored him in with Copics and then cut him out with a rectangle Nestie. The patterned paper is from DCWV Nana’s Kids and is embossed. The 3 rectangles are mounted on a piece of Basic Gray — I wasn’t sure about this choice, but I like how it draws out the color of the bunny. Bashful Blue, embossed with Swiss Dots, was a great compliment to the gray and dp. I added some sheer white polka dot May Arts ribbon, Cotton Candy Stickles on his nose & ear, and Diamond Glaze on the eggs. I stamped the sentiment (from TSG) on the dp and punched it out with the large oval SU punch. As a final touch, I cut out 8 eggs using the smallest Nestie in Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery and Pale Plum and embossed them with Swiss Dots. I stacked them in the same manner as the bunny’s tower on the corner and also on the inside. Super cute!
