Cupcakes = mojo

Oh, my mojo went on a hiatus. I think it was a combination of a sick child (again!), lack of good sleep, lots of Olympics watching, and 16 inches of snow that did it in. I wish I could take a hiatus as needed! Of course, this comes at a time that I really need my mojo — March & April are busy months for me birthday wise.

I really love the long cards, even though I don’t make many. The Sweet Sunday Sketch was for a long card this week and I really wanted to play along. In order to give my mojo a kick start, I also added in The Pink Elephant challenge to add green to your project.

I pulled out my K&Company Sparkly Sweet paper pack, knowing I would find some cute paper options in there. This green & pastel color dotted paper was perfect. I paired that with Certainly Celery and Pretty in Pink. For my stamp, I chose the There She Goes Cupcake Mix & Match set. I stamped the cupcake liner on the green paper 3 times and cut them out. I then stamped the cupcake 3 times, colored with Copics and cut them out. Finally, I stamped my liner & cupcake 3 times, cut them out with one of my new Nestie Labels 12. For each cupcake, I cut out a mat in the same color. I popped up the cupcake on dimensionals and added the liner.

Some yummy double sided satin ribbon from May Arts was the perfect touch since it was pink & green. My bow was tied with my Bow Easy –I seem to always do double bows with my Bow Easy. I added some Stickles on each cupcake and stamped Happy Birthday in the lower right.

My mojo was very slow to cooperate and probably needs a bit more coaxing. But I am happy with how this turned out.
