Fairy Warm Winter Wishes

Pink Cat Studio has some of the most adorable digi (and rubber) stamps. I love Lily and don’t get her out frequently enough. Snowflake Fairy Lily is just over-the-top cute and is perfect for a pretty winter card. The second Fussy & Fancy Friday challenge is for a winter card or project and this works out perfectly.

After Christmas, Gina K ran a fantastic sale — a free stamp set with a purchase of $35, I think it was. Of course, I had to take advantage of it. It also allowed me to get some of her absolutely gorgeous paper in Ocean Mist. I think we can all relate to being paper junkies, but if all of these yummy colors of fantastic paper keep being released, I may need a room just for paper alone!

Anyway, I used Ocean Mist as my base of this card and added a panel of Staples White, embossed with the Distressed Snow Cuttlebug folder. If I am coloring an image, I use my Select White from PTI. If I am simply embossing or printing a digi sentiment, I use my Staples white cardstock. Although it is the same weight as the PTI paper, it feels lighter to me and I have bleeding with my Copics on it.

I colored Lily, concentrating on pretty blues. I added lots of sparkle with Stickles on her dress and in her hair, as well as Angel Wings Shimmerz on her wings. Her cape has a collar and trim of Liquid Applique. The sentiment — a freebie at Pink Cat Studio — was cut out with a Nestie tag and then I further cut out the center to mount it on a tag of Ocean Mist. Yummy satin-trim organdy from Pink Hedgehog completes the card.

Lily is just so sweet and I’m sending her off to my Gram. She needs to get some happy mail!
