Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving & survived Black Friday if you ventured out. I ventured as far as my laptop, staying up way to late to get deals & setting alarms to get others. I attempted to get Toy Story bedding from Walmart for an insane price of $18 and it was sold out in less than 10 minutes. We actually took the kids into NYC and they had a blast. Everyone was very tired when we got home.
Today my daughter was invited to a birthday party for a little boy in her class. I refer to him as her boyfriend. My daughter is very social and is quite popular amongst the boys, as my husband was told by another dad. I guess we are in for it when she is older! 🙂 Anyway, this little boy is a big fan of Lightning McQueen from Cars.
Since I didn’t have a McQueen stamp, I went in search of a coloring page to use. I resized it in Word and then printed it on Select White. After coloring it with Copics, which I kept straight-forward, I added a bit of Silver Fox Smooch to the bolts on his hood and some exhaust pipes (well, I think they are exhaust pipes).
For the layout, I used the sketch from Crazy 4 Challenges from last week, but flipped it. The background paper is from PaperTrey Ink’s Black & White Basics. I added a pop of Pure Poppy which was embossed with the Traffic Jam Cuttlebug folder. McQueen’s catch phrase was KACHOW, so I printed that vertically on cardtock, cut it out with a Nestie and popped it up on dimensionals. A trio of Glitter Dots were the perfect embellishment.
Paper: Pure Poppy, Basic Black, Select White, PTI Black & White Basics
Copics: Y17, R24, YR07, B12, B00, YR02, E39, E71, 100
Other Stuff: Glitter Dots, Traffic Jam Cuttlebug embossing folder, Nesties
Thanks so much for stopping by!
