Stars & Circles

When I signed up for the Sesame Street shape books, I went with circles and stars — two shapes I thought would be easy to use. Again I went with coloring page images that I resized and printed.

First up is Abby Cadabby. I love Abby — I think she is so cute and I love her colors. Because of her being a fairy in training, I thought the stars would work nicely with her wand.

Based on Abby’s colors, I picked Orchid Opulence and Cool Caribbean (which is dwindling far too quickly). This is such a cheery combo. I Cuttlebugged the Cool Caribbean with my Stars embossing folder. Abby is colored with Copics. I cut her out with the second biggest star Nesties and added a ribbon tag & rhinestone brad. Using the smallest star Nestie, I cut out stars in Orchid Opulence and Pixie Pink.

For my circles page, I selected Ernie taking a bubble bath. Ernie is colored with Copics and cut out with a circle Nestie. I used the EK Success Swiss Cheese punch to punch a border of bubbles in a piece of Groovy Guava. The Groovy Guava was mounted on a piece of white cardstock, along with Ernie. At that point, things got a little glittery. Using Diamond Stickles, I filled in each Swiss cheese hole and went over all of the bubbles in Ernie’s tub. It’s a good thing there were only 9 of these because I had quite a hand cramp after they were all done. LOL! I then applied some Diamond Glaze to the puddle of water and the drop coming from his wash cloth. Some button “bubbles” were the final touch. This was a really fun card to put together.
