The hostess from the A-Z Sesame Street swap hosted a numbers & shape swap to accompany those books. Since I am giving each of my children an A-Z book, I signed up for two spots in each group for this swap. For the numbers, I chose 2 and 4, representing my kids’ ages.
I do have quite a few Sesame Street stamps, but didn’t use them for these pages. Due to their larger size, I searched for coloring page images. I found so many options. I simply saved the images, resized them and printed them on cardstock.
For the number 2, I chose this cute image of Elmo and his two penguin friends. I colored them using Copics — I used B000 for the number 2 and I love that the color kind of looks cloudy & light. One of my favorite color combos is Brilliant Blue and Bashful Blue, which I especially love this for winter cards/projects. I matted Elmo on a Brilliant Blue Nestie circle and then onto the Cuttlebugged Snowflake square. A pair of snowflake brads and Stardust Stickles for snowflakes finished this off.
Oscar the Grouch accompanied #4. Again, this was simply colored with Copics, going for a bit more of a primary color set. When I saw his squares, I knew what I wanted to use for embellishments — some square, primary color brads that I have had for ages. Once I colored Oscar, I cut him out with a square Nestie and embossed. I again Cuttlebugged my background with the Numbers embossing folder. I added 4 square brads, representing the colors of Oscar’s squares and was done.
