Ironically, this is the opposite of my children. My daughter is the beach, well pool, bum and my son only sticks his feet in. We have wonderful neighbors who have a pool and allow us to use it. We have been living in the pool this summer — my daughter swims with her vest, I do laps and my son walks around with his vest on, only sticking his feet in on occasion. Unfortunately, they are painting the pool this week and our normal routine is all out of sorts.
In honor of missing the pool, I inked up Beach Bum Cooper. I don’t use my Cooper images nearly enough. The PWC66 Paper Pretties challenge was a mystery color challenge — black, green & your choice. I chose Ballet Blue, Green Galore and Basic Black. These are not my normal color choices, but I love how the Ballet Blue & Green Galore pop against the black.
I used the MOJOMARY sketch from the Mojo Monday blog “Mojo Turns 100″ celebration last week. I didn’t get to play along last week, but I really loved this sketch. When I first started, I wasn’t sure my square punch would fit, so I tried circles. Out of 3 circle punches, only one worked. I was not pleased with the malfunctioning punches! The one that did work was too small, so I tried my only square punch. Fortunately, it not only worked, but the size (1 1/4”) worked. I ran the squares through my Cuttlebug with the Tiny Bubbles embossing folder. I love using this folder with water themed cards.
Inside I added a mat of Ballet Blue and Green Galore with the sentiment “Bring on the Sun” and Cooper’s turtle friend.
I have to say that is probably the most pathetically colored turtle. For some reason I always blank on the color of a turtle’s shell and my Copic choices are limited. Obviously, I haven’t been paying enough attention to Franklin when he is on in the morning. LOL!
