Sweet Candy Jars

I picked up this Impression Obsession Candy Jars stamp in April when I went to Bella Art. I fell in love with it — not only do I love candy, I have always liked rock candy and the sticks (what are they called?).

There are so many possibilities for coloring this image. I decided to go with a coordinated set of candies. This could easily be colored to fit whatever color combo you pick. The K&Company Sparkly Sweet dp is perfect for this image — lots of soft & pretty pastel colors. Of course, I had to add some Dazzling Diamonds to the rock candy. I love the stripes of this particular paper and the scallops in the design. The scalloped square nesties work perfectly with this.

I added some May Arts double sided blue satin ribbon –oh so yummy — and some Dew Drops in Peony. The sentiment is from Gina K’s How Sweet It Is! set. Gina generously donates $7 from each of these sets to the American Diabetes Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Again, I was able to squeeze a few Dare to Get Dirty challenges out of this card. In addition to Becca_Stamps Cut It Out!, I was able to add KrystieLee’s Clearly Creative, SgtStamper’s Shades of Blue Embellishable You! and TruCarMa’s Good Enough to Eat! WHEW! I really didn’t plan that. Since the image is quite large, I made a 5.5″ square card to accommodate it.
