In honor of the May release for There She Goes, Jessica issued a challenge to post the first card you made or uploaded and your favorite card. Kind of a look at how far you’ve come.
This wasn’t my first upload to SCS, but it is one of my first cards. I had received Prismacolor pencils for Christmas and had NO CLUE how to do the Gamsol technique. I’m still working on that technique, but I can say I am much better now than then. It is amazing what really good blending stumps can do.
I think this is my favorite card so far. Sophia reminds me a lot of my daughter, so I think I find inspiration in these images. I had really struggled with putting this card together. I was trying to do it for the Paper Pretties Cutie Pie contest. I was also doing my first Sketch For You To Try from Jen del Muro. My first idea didn’t pan out and thankfully, I hadn’t glued down the image of Sophia. I stepped away for a bit and came back to it and I was so happy I did that. I loved how it turned out and to my complete and utter surprise, I won the Cutie Pie contest.
I’ll be back tomorrow with some new things to share.
Thanks for stopping by!
